Discovery of the aquatic environment: the stream and the pond

Presentation

To extend a visit to the museum focuses on the use of the force of water, a study of the aquatic environment is proposed. For this activity, the site of the museum has an educational pond near a mountain stream, in order to compare these two environments.

To meet the objectives of your project, certain themes may be preferred. Any animation can therefore be built in partnership with the teacher.

Topics

The Characters Physical and Dynamic water: temperature, current, observing the operation of each environment.

The Middle and Organic Living:

  • inventory of fauna and flora of the two media (fishing and determination with educational tools)
  • observing interactions in "food chain" simple to get to the concept of ecosystem
  • study the characteristics and adaptations of each species in relation to its environment

Data that allow students to approach the fields of physics and biology, through an experimental approach.
