In order to offer services adapted to our visitors who are keen on cycling, the Ecomuseum has joined the Accueil Vélo label!
Accueil Vélo ensures a quality welcome adapted for cyclists!
With Accueil Vélo, the Ecomusée offers you:
- A welcome and tourist documentation adapted to cycle tourism!
- A dedicated bicycle parking area!
- A water refill point and adapted sanitary facilities (WC)!
- A repair kit!
- An accessible electrical outlet for recharging your battery!
- The possibility of depositing your bags and luggage in a secure place during your visits!
- A pleasant picnic area!
The site of the Ecomuseum of Wood and Forest is located in a picturesque mountain forest valley, a few pedal strokes from Thônes!
We are located 2.5 km from the centre of Thônes (Tourist Office), on a small local road that does not present any particular difficulties (low gradient at the bottom of the valley) (5 km round trip)
We are in the immediate vicinity (2 km) of the cyclos and marked routes:
- N°3 : Tour de la Tournette (62 km)
- N°45, 46 et 47 : Tour des Glières, Circuit de la Croix-Fry, Traversée Aravis Arly
The Ecomusée du Bois et de la Forêt is located :
- 20 km from Annecy
- 14 km from La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand
- 8 km from Manigod

From Annecy:
As you enter Thônes, at La Panière, turn right at the roundabout towards MONTREMONT, then continue for 2 km following this sign. Turn right at the 2nd roundabout, then left towards Montremont
From Thônes-Centre:
Take the direction of Montremont. Leave the Espace Cœur des Vallées on your left, then LIDL on your right, then take the direction of Montremont at the roundabout opposite. Continue for 2 km!
